This policy describes how the developer of Sakena (the “app”) handles information.
Photos you select or take, cutout and generated images, product names, brands, sake types, ratings, tasting notes, favorites, and shelf order are stored on your device. The app does not offer its own account registration or cloud sync.
Apple Vision is used for image cutouts, text recognition, and image comparison. On supported devices, Apple’s on-device Foundation Models are used to suggest sake details. Suggestions may be incorrect.
When you choose to edit an image, the app passes the bottle image and editing instruction to Apple’s Image Playground. Processing follows Apple’s services and uses Private Cloud Compute. If you accept a generated image, the app adds it to your local record. See Apple’s privacy information for Apple’s practices.
The production app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand usage and improve the app. Screen views and bottle registration events, along with app and device information, app instance identifiers, usage information, and approximate region information, may be sent to and processed by Google. The app’s analytics events do not include your photos, product names, brands, or tasting notes. The app is configured without advertising identifier support.

The app requests camera access when you take a photo and uses the system photo picker when you select a photo. You can manage permissions in your device settings.
You can edit or delete records within the app. Local data may be lost if the app is removed or the device is lost, damaged, or changed. Device and iCloud backups are governed by your settings and Apple’s services; the app does not offer its own sync or restore feature.
